Now you can make this Elegant Party Dress for
your My Twinn™ dolls. The red dress (right), has the optional neck insert that may be made from a flesh toned fabric. If your doll has a white body that you want to cover, use these pattern pieces. There is a special back bodice piece that is higher in the neck area. Use the same flesh tone to line the bodice insert, too. The trim used on the insert (2nd picture) came pregathered with a bulky bias to hold the gathers. Removing the bias and ironing the trim flat, allowed the trim to be placed smoothly and evenly on the insert. The trim on the slip was applied the same way. The blue and white check dress (3rd picture) shows the bodice insert cut on the bias. This eliminates the need to match the checks, especially good with larger checks! The lining is cut on the straight of grain. Jumbo rick rack is sewn on with hand worked French knots at each point! An easy and inexpensive way to dress up a simple dress.
