Long or short this robe is easy to make from
'robe velour', cotton prints or fleece. Make the short robe in cool, cotton for summer. The long version will be warm and cozy made from velour or fleece. The wrap belt will keep the robe closed snuggly. And make some easy fleece slippers to keep those toes warm! Made from fleece, no facing is used on the front/collar, so it is very quick to make robes to match pajamas or night shirts! With fleece, the edges may be left plain or trimmed with a wavy blade rotary cutter or pinking shears. The short version makes a warm wrap coat. The facing and trim is cut from animal print suede knit, but many fabrics could be used for an elegant look. Use 'Standard' pattern pieces for American Girlİ, Elsie Dinsmoreİ and similar dolls. Use 'Slim' pattern pieces for Magic Attic Clubİ dolls and other slimmer dolls. |
